Oak Brooke's Second Annual Dressage Show

Not being used to cross ties, King was a little fidgety at first, but soon calmed down when he realized he was getting groomed. Propping up a leg, he shifted his weight and relaxed while Ryan went through the process of cleaning his hooves, currying and brushed his coat, de-tangling his mane and tail, ect. Flicking his ears back and forth when a loud gust of wind was able to be heard from the outside, King started to get a little tensed up and nervous. Patting the stallions white neck, Ryan reassured his painted pony that everything was alright and he was going to be just fine. Reaching into his back pocket, he gave King an oreo cookie to let him know he was doing a good job and to keep it up while he finished with his grooming. King calmed down a little bit, but was still a little on edge with the windy weather, but he stood as still as possible. Once his coat was all nice and shiny, Ryan gathered up his tack and started to tack King up.
