It was finally their turn in the ring. Everyone had done such a splendid job, each performance better than the last. Every horse and rider that went in before them looked so good together, Ryan could only hope him and King would be half as good. Taking a deep calming breath, and sending up a silent prayer that nothing will go blowing by the window while they where in the arena, Ryan asked King to move into the middle of the arena to salute the judges before moving out and beginning their test. King did as asked but his gaits were a little rougher than normal, but Ryan was expecting something like that. It usually came with the horses first show, being the center of attention for a few minutes for the first time was a little nerve racking. But after a few minutes King became accustomed to it and his gaits smoothed back on out. Performing all the necessary movements and gaits, King and Ryan finished their performance, saluted the judges once again and left the arena for the next pair to have their turn in the show ring. Dismounting from King, Ryan loosened his girth and watched the rest of the show, waiting to hear the results of their class and see how well King did for his first time.
